The Privacy Code does not impose restrictions on: business contact information, including the name, title, business address or telephone number of an employee of an organization; information collected, used or disclosed solely for journalistic, literary or artistic purposes; publicly available information, such as an individual’s name, telephone number and address when listed in a directory or made available through directory assistance; or information that is aggregated and not associated with a specific individual, including demographic information and statistics.

How Your Personal Information may Reach Us

The Your EDA Here Conservative Association does not actively seek to collect the personal information of Canadians. Nor does it collect any personal information about you without your consent.

We do obtain personal information when you join or make a contribution to the Your EDA Here Conservative Association.

Personal information is also collected as part of the registration process for Conservative Party conventions and other Your EDA Here Conservative Association events.

As well, when you visit our web site, you may wish to provide us with information that permits us to keep you informed about Your EDA Here Conservative Association policies and activities or which enables you to become a volunteer, make a financial contribution, or use the websites personalized applications.

Our collection of personal information is limited to what is necessary and reasonable.

How we use your Personal Information

Your information is used to communicate with you, or to facilitate your participation as a volunteer if you wish to assist. We take great care in the way we store and use your personal information.

In order to provide personalized website functions to our members, the Your EDA Here Conservative Association website uses cookies. The Your EDA Here Conservative Association  may use embedded images in emails to track open rates and click-through rates for our mailings, so that we can tell which mailings appeal most to Conservatives. We do not share the information you’ve given us with unaffiliated groups without your explicit permission. We may share some of your personal information with the following affiliated groups:

Conservative Member of Parliament – for the sole purpose of helping them do their work. Our Conservative Member of Parliament does not share your personal information with the Federal Government, or use it for any purpose other than as instructed by you.

The Conservative Party – The Party is a national organization with a riding-based membership system. Your personal information may also be used by our National Party including by contestants for nominations. For example, if you have made a financial contribution, the National Party may contact you to see if you would like to continue your support.

As a federal political party registered under the Canada Elections Act, the and Conservative Party of Canada are subject to extensive regulation under that Act, including in particular public disclosure requirements for contributions over $200.

We track website usage of our website through Google Analytics. Your EDA Here Conservative Association website containing the Google Analytics tracking code track the following information: visitors, page views, traffic sources, social media usage, visitor flow. View Google’s Privacy Policy for more information. The Google Analytics tracking code does NOT track any personal or user information.

We also employ the Double-Click cookie as part of Google Analytics. Google is a participating member of the Network Advertising Initiative and follows the industry privacy standards for online advertising. You can opt out of the DoubleClick cookie, as well as other companies’ cookies used for interest-based ads, by visiting the choices page.
